Gioacchino Sauro is one of the four founding masters of the Accademia della Pipa (Pipe Academy), an institution established to preserve, codify, and pass down the excellence and technique of Italian art manufacture.

Every single one of his works is conceived and entirely handcrafted in the splendid setting of Sicily. For his creations, the artisan exclusively selects blocks and ebauchons from the famous Mimmo Romeo sawmills, a worldwide synonym for elite briar, perfectly seasoned, lightweight, and endowed with unexceptionable absorption and aromatic performance qualities.

A bent pipe with a bamboo insert, characterized by medium dimensions and a compact silhouette:

• The Finish is Smooth Natural

• The Easy Load Rim: The top edge of the bowl (rim) features an "Easy Load" flare. This technical and aesthetic feature facilitates tobacco loading operations by guiding the pressure of the fingers.

• The Bamboo Extension: The structural and visual centerpiece of the item is the extension of the shank, made with a segment of fairly wide-section bamboo. The choice of a generous and massive knuckle grants a strong organic impact to the pipe.

• The Cumberland Stem: The airway concludes with a stem entirely hand-cut from a top-quality cumberland rod. The warm streaks of the cumberland harmoniously blend with both the warm tones of the natural briar and the knotted nuances of the bamboo, ensuring optimal ergonomics and comfort to the bite.

• The Chamber (Fornello): It features a medium capacity.

• The Drilling is Cylindrical.
