Italian handcrafted pipe Radice – Smooth Chubby Apple

Italian handcrafted pipe made in Cucciago by brothers Marzio and Gianluca Radice, belonging to the Radice production. A medium-sized smooth pipe featuring a compact and robust Chubby construction, where the gathered proportions of the shape lend the overall piece a solid, well-defined presence.

The shape is an Apple, interpreted with soft, full lines, a flat rim, and a bowl with compact proportions. The geometry of the model highlights the volume of the briar and yields a balanced-looking pipe, without sacrificing the distinct visual weight characteristic of Chubby shapes.

The chamber is medium capacity with cylindrical drilling, consistent with the bowl structure and the overall dimensions of the pipe.

The stem is a standard tapered type made of acrylic. A particularly distinctive detail is the small wooden ring inserted at the transition between shank and stem. Rather than interrupting the continuity of the line, this element introduces a natural material contrasting with the acrylic, creating a visually well-defined junction.

The smooth finish allows direct appreciation of the briar's surface and natural characteristics. The Chubby construction, the gathered volume of the bowl, and the sturdy proportions give the pipe a grounded, tactile design.
