Handmade Pipe Davide Iafisco Sandblasted Volcano Army Mount with Ebonite Mouthpiece

This handmade pipe is crafted by Davide Iafisco, a Bolognese pipemaker recognized among the leading contemporary interpreters of the Italian High Grade school. Co-founder of the Accademia della Pipa alongside Mimmo Romeo, Gioacchino Sauro, and Gabriele Dal Fiume, Iafisco has developed a personal style that combines Italian tradition, the influence of the Danish school, and a constant search for balance between aesthetics, ergonomics, and engineering precision. The selection of high-quality Italian briar and the meticulous care dedicated to mechanical work and finishes characterize each of his creations.

This model represents a successful interpretation of the classic Volcano shape, presented in medium dimensions with harmonious proportions. The characteristic wide base gives stability to the pipe, while the gradual taper of the bowl adds elegance to the silhouette, maintaining a refined visual balance and an exceptionally comfortable grip.

The surface is finished with a fine and uniform sandblasting, capable of highlighting the natural structure of the briar with a refined texture that is pleasant to the touch. The Easy Load rim, left smooth, creates a subtle aesthetic contrast with the sandblasting and makes loading tobacco easier. The end of the shank at the Army mount is also kept smooth, further enhancing the overall design of the pipe.

The mouthpiece is cut from ebonite rod and hand-finished to ensure comfort, precision fit, and long-lasting durability. The Army-style mount provides solid assembly and completes the design with a technically and aesthetically clean formal solution.

The medium-capacity chamber features a slightly conical bottom.
