Valbruna Calipso Smooth Brown 1 Jellyfish Pipe – Bent Freehand Cherrywood

After a long journey of artisanal growth, Simone Gaudenzi began crafting pipes under his own brand Valbruna, made entirely in his workshop in Gabicce Mare. Each piece is distinguished by the iconic stylized silver jellyfish on the top of the stem, the signature and symbol of the craftsman's production.

This model, belonging to the Calipso Smooth Brown 1 Jellyfish grading, is presented as a freehand interpretation of the classic Cherrywood shape. Characterized by bent lines and slightly chubby proportions, the pipe offers a strong visual presence and is designed with a flat base that allows it to stand perfectly balanced on its own (stand-up).

The smooth brown finish highlights an Italian-style cut of briar, featuring well-defined vertical grain wrapping around the bowl. The top of the rim preserves the natural plateaux (bark top), creating a sophisticated contrast of textures with the polished surfaces.

From a functional standpoint, the pipe ensures a generous chamber capacity, ideal for longer smokes and for fully appreciating the complexity of tobacco blends. The slightly conical chamber drilling is engineered to ensure a steady airflow and uniform combustion.
