Valbruna Pipes: The Pesaro School Legacy and the Sunken Myth of Simone Gaudenzi

Welcome to our dedicated gallery of Valbruna pipes, the personal signature of Italian master pipemaker Simone Gaudenzi. Active for over twenty years in the world of high-grade pipemaking, Gaudenzi refined his exceptional skills beginning in 1998 at the prestigious Ser Jacopo workshop, learning alongside Giancarlo Guidi, a true pioneer of modern Italian design. This rich heritage shaped his uncompromising eye for balance, structural precision, and harmonious silhouettes.

Operating today from his atelier in Gabicce Mare, Simone infuses his profound, daily relationship with the Adriatic Sea into his craft. The name Valbruna references the legendary sunken city of the Adriatic—a poetic, Italian Atlantis—evoking the rare, quiet, and understated nature of his masterpieces. Crafted in limited numbers from meticulously seasoned premium briar, every piece exhibits clean, contemporary lines and flawless internal engineering. Reflecting this marine inspiration, the proprietary grading system uniquely utilizes jellyfish symbols to denote the outstanding quality levels of each pipe.
