Design and Construction Features

The body of the pipe features a deep sandblasted finish that highlights the natural grain and texture of the briar. The upper rim of the bowl has been shaped with a curved profile and left smooth, creating a pleasing visual and tactile contrast with the rustic surface of the bowl.

Rafael Arzuaga is a self-taught pipe maker who has transformed his passion into an internationally recognized artistic career. In his family workshop, each pipe is conceived as a unique and unrepeatable work of art.

His production ranges from interpretations of classic shapes to free-form creations (Artistic, Carved, and Free Form), often drawing inspiration from the dynamism of nature, music, and fluid, elegant forms. His rigorous selection of premium-grade woods—most notably briar—allows Arzuaga to enhance the grain and inherent character of each individual block.
