Handcrafted Francesco Ganci Pipe – Semi-Rusticated Blowfish F F

This artisan pipe was crafted in the Ligurian workshop of Francesco Ganci, a master pipemaker renowned for his sharp attention to geometric form and respect for raw materials. The pipe offers a personal interpretation of the Blowfish shape, defined by compact, medium dimensions and a dynamic structure where precise knife-cut lines and crisp edges form well-balanced proportions.

Graded F F by the maker, this piece stands out for its unique semi-rusticated finish: one cheek retains a smooth, natural surface, while the other features a contrasting rusticated texture that adds tactile and visual depth.

Briar Grain and Chamber Characteristics

The briar block was oriented using a deliberate cross-cut to highlight the natural grain of the wood. The smooth side displays a uniform central flame grain that transitions into dense bird's eye on the opposite cheek and along the flanks of the shank.

The chamber offers a medium-to-small capacity, well-suited for shorter, contemplative smokes with rich tobacco blends. The draft hole features a subtle conical taper toward the bottom, a technical design intended to encourage even combustion and manage moisture draw.

Stem and Accents

The stem is cut from high-quality black ebonite and finished by hand for a comfortable bit. The transition to the shank is adorned with a thick Elforyn band—a high-density material mimicking the appearance of ivory—turned to align seamlessly with the geometric angles of the shank.
