The Alinetu brand is the artistic signature of Sardinian pipemaker Daniele Carbini. This creation represents a personal interpretation of the Volcano shape—a classic model that Carbini reinterprets with a distinct personality and an impeccable sense of proportion.

The pipe was shaped from raw materials of absolute excellence: the briar comes from the renowned sawmill of Mimmo Romeo, a global benchmark for block selection and seasoning. The finish features a fine, deep sandblast in black, which masterfully highlights the natural texture of the wood and the three-dimensional interplay of the underlying grain.

Technical Details and Design Choices

The design unfolds around masterfully calibrated contrasts of textures and geometries:

• The Base (Bark Top): The lower section of the "Volcano" retains the natural plateau or briar edge (bark top), creating a solid and fascinating visual connection to the raw nature of the material.

• The Bowl: Distinguished by an original diagonal cut across the top, the rim tilts elegantly forward. Inside, the spacious bowl boasts a perfectly cylindrical chamber drilling.

• The Shank and Stem: The solid, oval-section shank flows with flawless proportions into the stem. The fishtail stem is entirely hand-cut from high-grade German ebonite rod, known for its comfortable feel between the teeth and excellent resistance to oxidation. The joint is embellished with a refined natural horn ferrule, which visually breaks up the deep black of the pipe with its unique grain patterns.
