The handcrafted pipe signed by Cornelius Mänz represents one of the most refined expressions of the modern European artisan pipe-making tradition. An independent and self-taught pipemaker, Mänz is internationally recognized for his sculptural and organic approach to form, strongly influenced by the contemporary Danish school, combined with an obsessive attention to balance, ergonomics, and material quality.

This medium-sized Freehand pipe is entirely handmade and stands out for its sandblasted finish, which highlights the natural grain of the briar, giving the piece visual depth and a rich tactile character. Each curve is designed to follow the natural flow of the wood, making every pipe unique and unrepeatable.

The army-style stem fitting in German ebonite, crafted from a hand-worked ebonite rod, ensures durability, comfort, and a clean, elegant aesthetic. The careful selection of materials and meticulous hand craftsmanship fully reflect Mänz’s philosophy, as he produces limited quantities of pipes intended for discerning collectors and enthusiasts.

Each creation combines tradition, contemporary design, and functionality, placing his work among the most compelling interpretations of modern European pipe making.
