Daniele Carbini Handcrafted Pipe | Smooth Natural Freehand (Apple/Pot)

This handcrafted pipe, made by hand in the Tempio Pausania area by Daniele Carbini, represents the mature expression of a Sardinian artisan capable of dialoguing with the block of wood, following its grain to give life to unique shapes endowed with great dynamism.

Fluid Geometries and Dynamism of Lines

The model is configured as a small freehand shape, born from a hybrid interpretation between the soft lines of an Apple and the geometric solidity of a Pot.

The bent silhouette is defined by an extremely precise use of cuts and structural lines, which give the entire body of the pipe a fluid, elegant, and strongly contemporary movement. The shank progressively widens towards the end of its run, creating an impeccable volumetric connection that enhances the continuity of the design.

The Purity of the Briar: Grain and Bird's Eye

  • The Straight Grain: A compact, dense, and regular straight grain entirely embraces the walls of the bowl, elevating the aesthetic value of the piece.

  • The Bird's Eye: A perfect and centered bird's eye is concentrated on the bottom of the head.

  • The Capacious Bowl: Despite the overall compact dimensions and the pipe's tight shape, the combustion chamber proves to be quite capacious. This engineering feature allows for smokes of a satisfying duration, without sacrificing the lightweight nature of the object.

  • The Drilling is Cylindrical

  • The Light Horn Band: The shank connects beautifully with a natural light horn band. This detail acts as a luminous point of chromatic contrast between the warm tones of the wood and the darkness of the stem.

  • The Ebonite Stem "from Solid Rod": Into the band fits a premium-quality ebonite stem, worked and finished entirely by hand from a solid rod (da barra). The draft and the comfort to the bite are designed to complement the posture of the pipe, ensuring excellent ergonomics under the teeth.

This creation by Daniele Carbini testifies to a full mastery of execution, offering the demanding smoker and collector a lightweight, balanced smoking instrument endowed with a strong territorial identity.
