Alinetu by Daniele Carbini Pipe: Rational Geometries and Tactile Charm in a Bent Cherrywood
This creation represents a highly personal and successful artisanal interpretation of the Bent Cherrywood, a model that challenges classic geometric conventions to offer a smoking instrument of rare visual presence.
Cylindrical Volumes and Canted Bowl: The shank is perfectly cylindrical and connects to a bowl that is also perfectly cylindrical, yet elegantly tilted forward (canted). This angle lends dynamism to the shape and perfectly balances its stance.
The Base and Smooth Rim: The body of the bowl is enhanced by a delicate and silky sandblasting, finished with a deep, dark color. Providing a perfect sculptural contrast, the top rim (rim) and the flat base of the bowl (which makes the pipe an authentic stand-up) have been left smooth, maintaining the same color tone to preserve the overall harmony.
Bark Top Finish: The end section of the shank, just before the stem connection, retains the raw plateau crust (bark top).
Hand-Cut from Rod: The stem is not an industrial pre-molded piece, but has been entirely hand-crafted and turned from a high-quality black ebonite rod. It features a fishtail lip to ensure a comfortable thickness on the teeth and an optimal airflow.
Traditional Tenon and Canted Disc: The stem is equipped with a traditional tenon that fits securely into the shank mortise. To embellish the junction point, the artisan has inserted a decorative disc, which is also obliquely cut (canted), creating a continuous and sophisticated visual transition that flows with the lines of the pipe.
Capacious Bowl: The internal combustion chamber ensures a generous volume, ideal for accommodating tobacco loads suitable for prolonged smoking sessions.
Perfect Cylindrical Drilling: The chamber features a strictly cylindrical drilling throughout the entire bowl.
